Understand the two-thirds boundary

Two thirds is a fraction, not 66.67%

Shaheed Bhagat Singh College’s attendance guidance cites a two-thirds requirement under DU Ordinance VII. Two thirds repeats as 66.666…%. The exact 2/3 preset compares whole counts directly without rounding. It is a planning tool, not a guarantee of eligibility.

Why that distinction changes a result

Attending 2 out of 3 classes is exactly two thirds. It is below both 66.67% and 67%, so those decimal targets show a shortage. The exact 2/3 preset correctly recognises it as meeting the target by comparing 3 × attended with 2 × held directly.

Check the applicable attendance grouping

Use the lectures, tutorials and practicals that your college tells you to include. Do not average subject percentages with different numbers of classes. Your programme’s rules, approved adjustments and the relevant period determine the official result; BunkMeter provides a plan from the numbers and percentage you choose.

Recovery

A clear run back to your target.

What does “can miss” mean?

It is the number of consecutive future classes you can miss while staying at or above your target. Each missed class increases classes held, but not classes attended. If you enter remaining classes, this allowance cannot exceed them.

How does recovery work?

Each class you attend increases both counts. We find the smallest consecutive run that reaches your target. At 60 attended out of 100 held, a 75% target needs 60 more attended classes: 120 out of 160.

What if my semester is nearly over?

Add the lectures remaining to check your best possible finish. A term-end allowance assumes you attend the other remaining classes; it is different from how many you can miss consecutively right now.

Do approved absences count?

That depends on your institution. Calendar days and lectures are not interchangeable. Use the attended and held counts your institution recognizes; BunkMeter cannot approve leave or determine condonation eligibility.
