Use your college’s attendance record

Confirm how your college combines attendance

MIET’s 2022–23 academic plan cites AKTU B.Tech. attendance norms and a 75% aggregate minimum. We use 75% as an editable starting point, not a current eligibility ruling for every AKTU programme. Ask your college which lectures and practicals belong in the total for your course.

Recovering from 72% to 75%

With 72 attended out of 100 held, attending 12 consecutive classes gives 84 out of 112: exactly 75%. Adding only three attended classes would give 75 out of 103, which is still below the target. Every new class changes the denominator too.

Use the remaining-class estimate carefully

If only 10 classes remain in that example, even full attendance gives 82 out of 110, below 75%. The calculator reports the mathematical limit; it cannot approve leave, condonation or an examination form. Recheck the estimate when your timetable changes.

Recovery

A clear run back to your target.

What does “can miss” mean?

It is the number of consecutive future classes you can miss while staying at or above your target. Each missed class increases classes held, but not classes attended. If you enter remaining classes, this allowance cannot exceed them.

How does recovery work?

Each class you attend increases both counts. We find the smallest consecutive run that reaches your target. At 60 attended out of 100 held, a 75% target needs 60 more attended classes: 120 out of 160.

What if my semester is nearly over?

Add the lectures remaining to check your best possible finish. A term-end allowance assumes you attend the other remaining classes; it is different from how many you can miss consecutively right now.

Do approved absences count?

That depends on your institution. Calendar days and lectures are not interchangeable. Use the attended and held counts your institution recognizes; BunkMeter cannot approve leave or determine condonation eligibility.
