Attendance inputs

BunkMeter calculates attendance on your device. Ordinary calculator edits and future previews run in your browser without sending entered values to a server. Sharing or opening a result link is an exception, explained below. New website calculations are held in memory and are not saved as attendance records. Shared links load the counts encoded in their URL. Records saved by the former website tracker remain in IndexedDB, including subject names, targets and recent class actions; ordinary calculator use does not read or overwrite them. The previous-attendance export option reads those records only when you request a backup.

Sharing a result

Share Result and Copy result link deliberately include the current attended and held counts, target and any remaining classes in a URL. Anyone with that link can read those values. Opening it sends the URL to our hosting infrastructure, and it may be retained in browser history, hosting logs or the messaging service you choose. A link-preview service may also fetch it. We do not add names, accounts or tracking identifiers to result links. Ordinary edits do not automatically change or share the URL.

Accounts, storage and tracking

The site does not require an account. There is no cloud attendance database or automatic cross-device sync. Other people using your browser profile may see saved records. Fonts and calculator assets are served with the site.

Advertising

This website loads Monetag push-notification and vignette advertising through 5gvci.com, 3nbf4.com and n6wxm.com, with related requests to my.rtmark.net and ldrws.com. These requests send your IP address and browser/device information to the advertising services, which may use cookies or other browser storage. Push advertisements require your browser notification permission and may arrive after you leave this website. You can revoke notification permission and manage cookies in your browser settings. See the Monetag privacy policy. Adsterra remains disabled; disabling it does not erase information it previously received.

Backups and removing records

Export a backup before changing browsers, clearing site data or using private browsing. Backups contain subject names, counts, targets and recent actions; keep them private. The website provides export of previous records; subject management and backup import belong to the Android edition. Clearing this site’s browser data erases all saved attendance. We cannot recover data lost from your browser or backup files.

Visiting the website

Your browser must contact our hosting infrastructure to load the site. Hosting providers may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser information, requested URL and request time to deliver and secure the website. This is distinct from the attendance figures you type. We do not promise that visiting a website involves no data processing.

If you email us

Sending an email shares your email address and message with BunkMeter and the email services involved. We use that information to handle your request. Avoid sending sensitive information. You can ask about access, correction or deletion of correspondence through the contact page; applicable requirements and provider retention may affect what can be deleted.

Students and personal information

You do not need to provide a name, age, institution, student ID or medical information to use the calculator. Please do not send these details unnecessarily, including in bug reports.

Other websites and changes

Links to other services are governed by those services’ practices. If we later change cloud storage, analytics or advertising, we will explain the change here and implement any required choices before enabling it.

BunkMeter for Android

The Android edition bundles its calculator, visual assets and help for offline use. It uses the same attendance calculations as the website, but stores its own subjects, counts, targets and recent class actions in the app’s private local storage. It has no account system, advertising SDK or analytics SDK, and does not automatically send attendance records to BunkMeter. Web and app records do not sync. Android cloud backup and automatic device transfer are disabled by the app configuration.

Sharing a result or exporting a backup is your choice. A result link contains attendance counts as described above; a backup also contains subject names and recent class history. Android passes the selected content to the app you choose in its share sheet. Temporary exported backup files are kept in the app’s cache. Import uses Android’s file picker, without broad storage access. Uninstalling BunkMeter or clearing its app data removes local attendance; export a backup beforehand. Opening external support or privacy links uses your browser or email app, whose own practices apply.
