1. Who We Are

BunkMeter ("we", "us", "our") is a free, browser-based attendance calculator available at https://bunkmeter.app. It is operated as an independent web tool aimed at Indian college students.

2. Data We Collect

We collect no personal data whatsoever. Specifically:

• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any contact information.
• We do not collect the attendance figures you enter into the calculator. These exist only in your browser's memory and are discarded when you close or refresh the page.
• We do not use cookies of any kind — neither first-party nor third-party.
• We do not use browser localStorage or sessionStorage.
• We do not deploy any analytics scripts (no Google Analytics, no Hotjar, no Mixpanel, no Meta Pixel).
• We do not use any tracking pixels or fingerprinting techniques.

3. Third-Party Services

BunkMeter loads the following third-party resources. Each has its own privacy practices:

• Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) — loads Space Grotesk and Space Mono typefaces. Google may log font requests. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Tailwind CSS CDN (cdn.tailwindcss.com) — loads the utility CSS framework. The CDN provider may log requests at the network level.

Neither service receives your attendance data. They only serve static assets (fonts and CSS).

4. Future Advertising (Google AdSense)

BunkMeter may display advertisements via Google AdSense in the future. If and when this is activated:

• Google may use cookies to serve personalised ads based on your browsing history across other sites.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google's Ad Settings.
• This policy will be updated with specific disclosure before ads go live.

At the time of writing, no advertising code is active on BunkMeter.

5. Children's Privacy

BunkMeter does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 (GDPR). Because we collect no data at all, there is no risk of inadvertent collection from minors.

6. Data Security

Because we collect and store no data, there is nothing to secure on our end. Your attendance figures never leave your device. The site is served over HTTPS, which protects the connection between your browser and our servers from interception.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR, India's DPDP Act 2023, and other applicable laws, you have rights regarding your personal data. Because BunkMeter processes no personal data, there is no data held by us for you to access, correct, or delete. If you believe this is incorrect, contact us using the details below.

8. External Links

BunkMeter may contain links to external websites (such as Google's privacy pages). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and recommend reviewing their policies independently.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly if advertising or analytics are introduced. The date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of BunkMeter after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
